First impressions

Talk about road presence. The Lotus Emeya looks like nothing else we’ve ever seen before. The first time you see the car, you realize how big it is in real life than in photos on the internet. This car is long, has modern, alien looking lights, big wheels and a bold color to top it off. Trust us when we say that this car looks out of this world.

The Exterior

The Lotus Emeya really stands out because of its solid design. Unlike some cars that seem to treat design as an afterthought, Lotus clearly puts effort into every detail. The smooth curves, 22-inch wheels, adjustable suspension, and bold brake calipers give it a confident look on the road. When we were parked at a petrol station in Al Qudra, plenty of people stopped to snap photos. And that “fireglow orange” finish? It truly makes the car pop.

The Interior

We were pleasantly surprised by the refinement and attention to detail in the Lotus Emeya’s interior. Every element exudes sophistication, with a seamless blend of premium materials and thoughtful design. The steering wheel and sections of the dashboard are wrapped in Nappa leather and Alcantara, adding a touch of sportiness, while jewel-like knobs for the gear shifter and climate controls elevate the cabin’s luxury appeal. At the center of it all is a beautifully crafted 15-inch Full HD OLED touchscreen, which serves as the vehicle’s command hub. Its intuitive interface allows for effortless control over key functions, including suspension height adjustment, spoiler deployment, trunk access, sunroof operation, and more—all with just a few quick taps.

The Lotus Emeya notably replaces traditional side-view mirrors with advanced camera systems. Each side is equipped with a dedicated camera that streams real-time video to the vehicle’s digital display. The integrated touch screen interface allows the driver to pan and adjust the view, offering a modern and customizable perspective that enhances both safety and aesthetics.

The interior is outfitted with modern amenities expected in a vehicle of this caliber, including wireless phone charging and ventilated, heated seats equipped with a massage function. Additionally, the seats offer extensive adjustability, allowing drivers to achieve a customized driving position that seamlessly blends comfort with a sporty edge. There’s also tons of boot space in the back, which shouldn’t be too surprising considering how long this car is

The driving experience

Let’s be honest—the Lotus Emeya is fast. While it’s an electric car and Lotus has a strong performance legacy, you might expect a vehicle of this size and tech to be a bit sluggish reaching 100 kph. But that’s not the case. Thanks to the Lotus Emeya’s adjustable suspension system and robust braking components, this car’s rapid acceleration is matched by precise handling and reliable stopping power. And despite its speed, it’s comfortable enough for everyday cruising. The advanced driver assistance system enhances both safety and convenience by maintaining lane discipline and automatically adjusting speed as necessary, making the Emeya equally capable of spirited driving and comfortable urban cruising.
