The 10 Second Review
Italy’s cultural impact is massive, thanks to its iconic food, cool cars, and awesome fashion. The 2023 Maserati Levante isn’t serving up Italian dishes, but it nails the performance and style. Under its hood, you can get either a Ferrari assembled twin-turbo V-6 or a twin-turbo V-8 cranking out 572 horsepower. Inside, it’s fancy with optional leather-and-silk seats by Ermenegildo Zegna, but some basic bits are borrowed from Stellantis parts bin. Forget about that though, ’cause the Levante gives you a fun ride with rapid acceleration and a great sound. It’s got a unique mix of class and power that you won’t find in this vehicle class.
The In-Depth Review
Engine, Transmission, and Performance

The Levante may not be the fastest luxury crossover for performance, but it’s got an awesome engine soundtrack. Most Levante models carry a twin-turbo V-6 pushing 350 horsepower or 430 in the Modena & Modena S, reaching 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. The Trofeo boast twin-turbo V-8s with 572 horsepower, hitting 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds, respectively. The ride can feel bumpy in sport mode but smoother in comfort mode, though the default suspension isn’t super forgiving.
Interior, Comfort, and Cargo
At first glance, the inside of the Levante looks luxurious especially in the test car with its lush rich red leather interior. But if you take a closer look, you’ll spot parts shared with other Stellantis brands like the Jeep Cherokee, which is a bit disappointing but does not distract from the Maserati experience. However, the controls work well, and the driving position is comfy for spirited driving. Like a pair of Versace heels, the Levante focuses on style. Its cargo space fits a good number of carry-on suitcases, but it’s not the best in its class. Still, when compared to rivals, the Levante’s stunning design steals the show over their practicality.

Infotainment and Connectivity
Vehicle functions, like climate controls, are handled through the infotainment system. It comes with standard navigation, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto You get an eight-speaker stereo, but you can upgrade to a 14-speaker Harman/Kardon or a 17-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system.
