Ford’s got a blacked-out F-150 Lightning, and it’ll cost you almost $100K!

The trend of blacked-out vehicle designs has been going strong for years, with blacked-out packages, trims, and wheels becoming a popular choice. In some cases, black cars even carry a higher value than those in other colors. Ford is fully embracing this trend as it transitions into the electric vehicle (EV) era with the introduction of the 2024 F-150 Lightning Platinum Black.

For the F-150 Lightning Platinum Black, Ford has utilized a combination of matte black and Agate Black Metallic, which is one of the available colors for the Lightning, to black out nearly every aspect of this electric pickup truck. The front fascia showcases a black Ford oval, a black grille framed by a smoked light bar, 22-inch matte black wheels, power deployable running boards with Agate Black accents, a black tonneau cover, and an Agate Black gloss roof.

Inside, the F-150 Lightning Platinum Black retains the standard F-150 Lightning design, with the addition of Nirvana leather seats and limited-edition numbered aluminum plates located in the frunk and on the driver’s door jamb. To ensure passengers never forget the vehicle they’re in, “Lightning” graphics adorn the pano roof above the rear seating.
